Parent Health

Monai and Pasco have both been approved for breeding by our veterinarian, Dr. Chad Bishop, who is himself a breeder of Toy Poodles. According to Dr. Bishop, they both have healthy hips and elbows, normal scissors bites, and both of Pasco’s testicles descended properly.

Furthermore both dogs have an excellent temperament, being friendly, reasonably calm, and personable. Neither have any history of aggression or biting people or other dogs and both have been socialized with both adults and children and other dogs since the age of 12 weeks

We have complete veterinary records for both dogs, who are up to date on all immunizations and other preventative treatments, including:

• Canine Distemper/Hepatitis/Leptospirosis

• Distemper, Canine Parvovirus & Coronavirus

• Bordetella & Influenza

• Preventative medication for heartworms and intestinal parasites and periodic heartworm and intestinal parasite testing

• Canine Rabies

• Bravecto for flea and tick prevention

Monai’s and Pasco’s primary food is NutriSource’s PureVita, approved by the American Association of Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). They eat both grain-inclusive and grain-free blends as well as high-quality dog treats.

Puppy Health

Once we decided to breed Monai, we began to regularly consult our veterinarian, Dr. Chad Bishop of North Main Animal Hospital in Alpharetta, GA. Dr. Bishop examined both Monai and Pasco and approved them both for breeding and has continued to monitor Monai during her pregnancy.

Once the puppies are born, they will receive the full compliment of treatment and preventative care from Dr. Bishop, including deworming medication and the appropriate vaccines at 6 weeks of age, including

• Canine Distemper/Hepatitis/Leptospirosis

• Distemper, Canine Parvovirus & Coronavirus

The puppies will also receive microchips, allowing for their new parents to register them under that chip ID.

To best support the mental and spiritual health of the puppies, we will do our best to ensure a good match between interested parents and puppies and send puppies to their forever homes - no earlier than 8 weeks - with a cloth rope with the scent of Monai and their littermates.

Our primary puppy food is Fromm Family’s Puppy Gold, approved by the American Association of Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). We have already started mixing Puppy Gold into Monai’s food to give the developing puppies exposure to these nutrients.
